All units and businesses in the CTSP are urged to observe the provisions of the Gender Equality in Employment Act that prohibit discrimination in the workplace on the basis of gender or pregnancy.

Some persons employed by firms in the CTSP complained to the Awakening Foundation that they received less favorable performance review results because they were pregnant. The Gender Equality in Employment Act stipulates that employers shall not treat employees less favorably based on gender or pregnancy when reviewing performance. Employers are urged not to take pregnancy into account when reviewing employee performance.
